The Saudi Arabian embassy in France has advised its citizens to be cautious due to the escalation of demonstrations into violent riots throughout the country.
The embassy took to Twitter on Friday, advising its citizens to exercise caution and adhere to security alerts and curfew hours set by local authorities. They also emphasized the importance of avoiding protest areas.
For a third consecutive day, demonstrators in France rallied on the streets in response to the shooting of a 17-year-old Algerian boy by the police.
However, the peaceful protests quickly turned into riots in numerous towns and cities throughout France.
Up until now, approximately 40,000 police officers have been dispatched to suppress the protests.
The government faced challenges in restoring order, resulting in over 875 arrests and causing injuries to at least 200 police officers.
In case of an emergency, Saudi Arabia’s embassy in France has also advised its citizens to reach out to the embassy through the provided contact numbers.
