Khaldoon Al Mubarak, the chairman of Manchester City, has issued a warning to the other clubs in the league that the triple winners’ influence would become even greater as a result of their historic season.
The team led by Pep Guardiola is just the second English club in history to win the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup in the same season.
It was the climax of a historic era for City Football Group ever since its owners, who are located in Abu Dhabi, took control of the club.
Khaldoon is of the opinion that Manchester City’s continued success will be beneficial not just to the Manchester side, but also to the international network of 13 clubs that the club’s owners have owned.
They are known as the City Football Group (CFG), and they own teams in several cities across the world, including New York, Melbourne, and Yokohama. This year, they also added the Brazilian team Bahia to their roster.
The CFG wants to make significant investments in each and every one of these ventures, including the players, coaches, facilities, and academies.
“The focus should always be on development. One matures, takes a breather, organizes one’s thoughts, and then moves on to the subsequent stage, taking things one stage at a time. Khaldoon stated on Tuesday to the various media stations in City that “we are not going to stop.”
“We are going to continue to provide happiness to every community and every club we have in the globe, and we hope that we will continue to bring success in every club and team that we have located all over the world.
“The past 15 years have been an incredible adventure, but I’m very excited about the future, and it’s not just about the next ten or fifteen years; it’s about now.”
Since 2012, City has won a total of seven Premier League titles, including five of those trophies in the most recent six seasons.
However, in February, City was charged with 115 alleged violations of the financial fair play standards of the Premier League dating back to 2009. They were also accused of not participating in an inquiry into the matter. These allegations date back to 2009.
The most recent major infrastructure project for the club is now in the planning stages, and proposals have just been presented to enhance the capacity of the Etihad Stadium to more over 60,000.
The extension is a component of a multimillion-pound plan that also involves the building of a hotel, shops, and food and drink outlets in addition to the creation of a new covered fan zone with a capacity of three thousand people.
“It’s very exciting,” Khaldoon remarked about the situation. Every year there is always something new, because there is always a need to develop, evolve, and grow. “Every year there is always something new, because there is always a desire to improve, evolve, and grow. We don’t stand still.
“Let’s just milk the asset” is not something we ever say to ourselves; rather, “we’re always in growth mode.”
