Italian media outlets claimed on Thursday that a group of YouTubers driving a Lamborghini while making a video collided into a family car in Rome, resulting in the death of a five-year-old kid and injuries to his mother and sister.
The band “Theborderline” is represented by three of the five passengers in the sports automobile.
According to the reports, they were participating in a challenge in which they had to spend fifty consecutive hours inside of the luxurious automobile.
The accident took place in the afternoon on Wednesday, and according to the reports, the kid passed away while being transported to the hospital.
In a message on Instagram that was published on Thursday, a member of the group, which has a total of 600,000 followers, said that he had not been the one driving and sent his condolences to the family of the five-year-old victim.
On Facebook, Italy’s Minister of Transportation Matteo Salvini stated that he has the ability to “propose and adopt a new highway code… But there is nothing that can be done in the face of a certain foolishness that ends up turning into a tragedy.
An information request made by the AFP went unanswered because the prosecutor who was in charge of the inquiry into the incident did not respond.
