The incident is claimed to have occurred at approximately 10:20 am (08:20 GMT) in a hilly and forested location located in the Neuchatel Mountains. According to claims from the media, the crash resulted in the deaths of multiple persons.
The authorities stated that they would not release any information regarding the plane that had crashed, including the number of people who had been onboard and the number of individuals who may have been killed or injured, until the relatives of the victims had been told of the disaster.
The RTN broadcaster said that emergency personnel, including police and rescue workers, have arrived at the scene of the accident and that an inquiry into the events leading up to the collision has been launched by the authorities.
